A homeowner in Kings Cross recently arranged our Dishwasher Installation Services after replacing an older dishwasher that had become unreliable. The new appliance had been delivered to the apartment, but the customer wanted it professionally fitted to ensure the plumbing connections were secure and the machine sat correctly within the existing kitchen layout.
As the kitchen had limited space around the appliance, accurate positioning was particularly important.
Preparing for the Installation
Before fitting the new dishwasher, our handyman inspected the existing installation and checked the available connections. The work included:
- Disconnecting and removing the old dishwasher
- Inspecting the water inlet and waste connections
- Preparing the appliance space
- Positioning and levelling the replacement unit
- Connecting and testing the dishwasher
The customer also wanted the new appliance aligned neatly with the surrounding kitchen units.
Fitting and Testing the Appliance
The old dishwasher was carefully disconnected and removed from beneath the worktop. Our handyman then inspected the existing plumbing connections before positioning the replacement appliance.
The water supply and waste hose were securely connected, and the dishwasher was carefully levelled to ensure the door opened and closed smoothly. Once everything was in place, the appliance was switched on and tested through its main functions.
During testing, the water intake and drainage were monitored closely to make sure the connections remained secure and there were no signs of leakage.
The installation took approximately 2 hours.
Ready for Everyday Use
The replacement dishwasher was left securely positioned and fully operational. Its alignment with the surrounding kitchen units gave the area a neat appearance, while the successful testing confirmed that the water and drainage connections were functioning correctly.
The homeowner was pleased that the old appliance had been removed and the new one installed during the same visit, avoiding unnecessary disruption to the kitchen.
The Importance of Correct Dishwasher Installation
A dishwasher needs to be positioned securely and connected properly to both the water supply and drainage system. Careful installation helps reduce the risk of leaks, poor drainage, unstable positioning, and problems with the appliance door.
