Safety before troubleshooting
A suspected gas escape, carbon monoxide alarm, fumes, scorching or unusual combustion must be treated as a safety issue, not an ordinary repair booking.
SAFE, INFORMED HEATING SUPPORT
Arrange a safety-led assessment of boiler and heating concerns, with regulated gas work handled only by an appropriately registered Gas Safe engineer.

WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH
The scope is reviewed around the property, existing condition and the result you need.
A suspected gas escape, carbon monoxide alarm, fumes, scorching or unusual combustion must be treated as a safety issue, not an ordinary repair booking.
Provide the boiler make and model, fuel type, age if known, fault code and a description of what is—and is not—working.
A cold radiator, fluctuating temperature or loss of pressure does not automatically mean the boiler itself has failed.
GAS BOILERS HEATING SERVICES LONDON
A suspected gas escape, carbon monoxide alarm, fumes, scorching or unusual combustion must be treated as a safety issue, not an ordinary repair booking. Follow current emergency guidance, move away from danger and contact the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 where appropriate. Do not operate switches, create flames or dismantle the appliance. For non-emergency heating issues, note any displayed fault code without repeatedly resetting the boiler.
Provide the boiler make and model, fuel type, age if known, fault code and a description of what is—and is not—working. Explain whether hot water, heating or both are affected; whether pressure changes; and whether the issue is intermittent. Photographs of the controls and appliance location help assess access. Service history can also be relevant, but it does not replace inspection.
A cold radiator, fluctuating temperature or loss of pressure does not automatically mean the boiler itself has failed. Controls, valves, pumps, circulation, radiator balance, leaks and system condition can contribute. Diagnosis should consider the whole heating arrangement. Any work on gas appliances or fittings falls within regulated boundaries and must be completed by a Gas Safe registered engineer qualified for the relevant appliance and work category.

CAREFUL PROPERTY WORK
Routine servicing should follow the manufacturer’s schedule and be performed by a suitably registered engineer. An assessment may identify a repair, a wider-system issue or a point where replacement deserves consideration. Age alone does not decide the answer: parts availability, condition, efficiency, repair history and safe operation all matter. We explain confirmed findings without inventing savings or promising that one intervention will solve unrelated system problems.
Share the boiler model, displayed code, control type and which parts of the system still operate. Confirm safe access and provide previous service information where available; never remove the casing for photographs. We review that information before confirming the likely scope, while recognising that concealed conditions may only become clear on site. Please flag access limits, lease or landlord permissions and any deadline that genuinely affects the work. A clear brief helps separate the requested service from decorating, waste removal or specialist work that should be quoted independently.
A CLEAR PROCESS
Send the London postcode, photographs, measurements and the result you want.
The requirements, access, materials and appropriate trade are reviewed before work begins.
The planned work is carried out carefully, with any material change explained clearly.
GAS BOILERS HEATING SERVICES FAQ
Useful answers for planning the work.
Gas appliance and gas-fitting work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer who is competent for the relevant appliance and work category.
Treat it as an emergency. Follow current official advice and contact the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. Do not use switches, flames or the appliance.
Possible causes include leaks, components within the sealed system or other faults. Repeatedly topping up without diagnosis can mask a problem and is not a repair.
Not necessarily. Air, valves, balancing, circulation or local blockages can affect one radiator. The wider system should be assessed.
Certification is a separate regulated service and must be completed by a suitably registered Gas Safe engineer. See our gas safety certificates page for the correct scope.
ONE CLEAR NEXT STEP
Send photographs, the property location and a concise description of the gas boilers and heating work. We will review the practical scope and explain what information is needed before an appointment can be confirmed.
