Jack O'Lanterns

Carving a traditional Jack-o’-lanterns is not as easy as, you’d see in a youtube video. It takes time and skilled you probably cannot spare. So, you could just take a few mason jars, string lights or small candles from the nearest store. If you’d like to make it more interesting, cut a few small paper bat figures and glue them on the inside of the jars. Put the candles or light bundles in, plug the lights in.

2. Floating Candles

Floating Candles

This one of the simplest DIY tasks you’ll ever do in your life. Take a few glasses fill them with water. Fill them up, so the candles don’t heat up the glass if you fill them up to the half. Place a few thin sticks. They will serve as candle support, should the candle sink in the water. Light the candles and voila, you have your 15-minute lanterns.

3. Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

Here’s a great idea. Yes, it’s a little bit more time consuming but it’s worth every second of your precious time. First you’d need a mirror frame and a glass with the same dimensions. Find and print a ghostly image with the same dimensions and place it on the glass. Hang the mirror by yourself or have somebody do it for you.

4. Autumn Leaves Everywhere

If you’d like to make your home look like a haunted place for Halloween, take a sack and gather dry leaves. Scatter them all around your living room and hallway.

5. Halloween Wreaths

This idea is very simple, as well. You can buy an autumn wreath from the nearest home improvement store, small decorative spiders, and artificial spider webs. Place the cobwebs and spiders on the wreath. Hang the wreath on your front door.

Embrace your DIY enthusiast self and make a few can lanterns. Take a can, soak it in water to remove the paper label. Take a marker and draw or write your decoration pattern. Take a nail and a hammer and make holes following the contours of the decorating pattern.

7. Spooky Halloween Glowing Pumpkins

You’d need a few colours of neon paint and a few pumpkins, like in this tutorial. Тake the paint and draw Jack-o’-lantern faces. Switch the lights off and voila, you’re done. You can also try to carving them in a funny way!
