Order tasks by what they expose and what they cover
A rail cannot be fixed sensibly before the wall condition is known, and making good should not precede work that will disturb the same surface. Arrange inspection, removal, repair, installation and finish in that order. If a cupboard must come away to reach a valve, do not permanently refit it until the responsible plumbing work is complete. Record dimensions and retain labelled components. A handyman can combine independent minor jobs, but sequencing does not turn specialist electrical, gas, structural or plumbing work into general maintenance. Build a pause into the programme where another trade may need to decide. This avoids paying for a fresh finish that is immediately opened again and gives the household a realistic expectation of which rooms can genuinely be completed in one visit.
