A rubber mat does not prove the floor is suitable
A mat can protect a finish and reduce movement, but it does not confirm structural capacity, level or vibration performance. Inspect accessible floor condition and measure obvious variation without claiming a structural survey. Heavy racks, concentrated weights, dynamic loads or upper-floor installations may require an engineer or equipment specialist. Do not pack unstable equipment with random offcuts; use manufacturer levelling provisions on a sound base. In flats, review lease and noise rules before delivery. Cracked boards, unexplained movement or significant bounce need assessment before equipment covers the evidence and introduces repeated loading.
